  Hello all, Not exactly a turbobrick, but a friend of mine is putting a T5 engine from an 850 into a C30, and wants to put a sequential shifter gearbox behind it. For this it needs a new Clutch Bell Housing made. And to make it easier for myself (and to make sure I design it accurate enough!), I was wondering if anyone had the bolt pattern/measurements or anything from the housing on a 850 T5 Engine they would be willing. • Correct new CV joint for 960 propshaft?

  As title says. I want to test a rear section of a 960 CV propshaft on my liveaxle 940. Sadly the CV on the one i acquired has a big crack on the ball cage, and lots of play.   I've got a very early 1985 (actually I believe that it is either the first wagon in the US or nearly the first) 745T that my Dad purchased in October of 1984. Its been a real joy to own over the years, but has fallen into some disuse/disrepair. One area that I am looking to address is vacuum hose connections. I can see and find a number of the vacuum lines and have replaced them, however I cannot find info or lines for the connections through the firewall on the drivers side (LF). There... Read more

• Oil pressure

  Good evening everyone, after breaking my turbo, I installed an oil pressure mano to see if I had a lack of pressure. Cold and slow motion, I have between 2.5 and 3 bars. On the other hand, at hot, the pressure is about 1b and it does not climb above 2 bar when I accelerate. Any idea of the problem? HS oil pump? Bad oil? This is a Volvo 745 of 85 (B200ET), the oil currently in it is of the 10W40.

  I have had this 5-speed manual 1990 240 DL for 5 years. It is in good condition and drives well, but is no longer practical for my lifestyle. It has ~235k miles. Here is the work I’ve had done in the last 5 years: - Transmission replaced at 210k (from salvage vehicle with 130k miles) - New clutch at 210k - Catalytic converter replaced at 220k (passes CO/CA emissions) - New fuel pumps at 220k - Replaced mass air flow sensor at 234k - Oil changes every 3k miles - Maintenance done by Volvo...   Here's an interesting electrical conundrum.... The battery charging warning light came on this morning on my new to me '92 Volvo 745. I tried driving off to see if it would go away, I noticed the light came on and off in sync with the washer fluid warning light (I was low).
