We took our HKS Group A Tribute GT-R to @luddenham_raceway today for it's first proper shakedown. We just fitted new brake master and booster plus @project.mu_aus pads and rotors. We needed to bed them in and test them, along with the centrlock adaptors and wheels from @boutique.wheels, that are wrapped in @yokohamaaustralia A052s. We also tested the new @raceworks_aus fuel cell with built in surge tank. The car performed fantasitc and is fast out of the box. It's a PB for Andrew around this track by almost a second! We tested Garrett's new GX-R3864 turbocharger and took JET200 past 1000 wheel horsepower! Matt from Redsun Motorsport jammed 60PSI into the billet SR22VET to see what the new GXR turbo could do and we weren't disappointed. We then went in the Turbosmart Flying 500 at Yokohama World Time Attack Challenge before heading to Sydney Dragway to use their carpark for some testing, and maybe a little bit of fun. We headed to JM Racewaras at Elvington Airport to race our 5-day 10-second build, and got a PB of 10.5@140mph and took out the Classic Class. We took JETRH9 out for two exhibition passes, and got a runway PB of 9.4. We were Third fastest car of the day on low boost with 158mph. Our 5-Day 10-second Skyline GT-R build ran a PB first pass at JM Racewars at Elvington Airfield with a 9.5@140mph. Much happier with the mph bur we know it can go quicker both on the runway and at the track. The new engine mounts fixed our intercooler pipe problem and new intake gave us some power back.
