I been talking to a local Amazon owner (Jay) for a while now and he mentioned a few times over the years that his mom has a wagon that needs some work. She bought it back in 1993 and stopped driving it around 2010 after it developed some issues. He parked it inside after draining all the coolant and gas out of it back then. Well here we go again with another build thread...... I recently sold my turbo ls powered 244 to get a early wagon. I talked to my friends at sts machining and they had one. Ive always been a huge fan of the early scotia cars mainly because my first real car was a 1985 scotia wagon. So we settled on a deal and my girlfriend and I flew up and picked up the wagon. Hello all. I am usually over in the Protege5 build forum ( Laser Blue Protege5 Build ), but I am embarking on a new project, in addition to keeping my P5 going. I've had Mazdas for many years and finally got ahold of one I have been seeking. It's rough, but also didn't cost a great deal. I've got a very early 1985 (actually I believe that it is either the first wagon in the US or nearly the first) 745T that my Dad purchased in October of 1984. Its been a real joy to own over the years, but has fallen into some disuse/disrepair. One area that I am looking to address is vacuum hose connections. I have had this 5-speed manual 1990 240 DL for 5 years. It is in good condition and drives well, but is no longer practical for my lifestyle. It has ~235k miles.
