We have a scheduled appointment for our 2018 CX-5 Touring NA next week w/the local MAZDA dealer for the 75K mile service (actually gonna be @ around 77.5K). The 4 spark plugs are due for replacement....but will the "service advisor" try to sell us the 4 tube-type ignition coils? Or should those be changed-out too? At the 1000.000K maintenance (took it in at 97.600K) it turned out the lower control arms had to be replaced. I think this may be the second time though I'm not sure if the earlier replacement was for upper or lower. Anyway think I have now replaced almost all of the front suspension componants at least once. The bushings just don't hold up to my dirt road. I wonder how the same usage on a Subaru Forester or the like would compare i.e. if its bushings and other front suspension componants... Read more

We own a 2024 and a 2026 CX-5. Yesterday, my wife and I set off on a short vacation to our annual mountain destination to celebrate our anniversary. We'd driven her Gen 2 up there the past two years and this year we drove the Gen 3 up. It was disappointing for me. Just bought my 2017 CX-5 GS, and I didn't get any accessories. I do plan on buying genuine Mazda accessories soon. My list to get includes Floor Liners Cargo Tray Rear bumper pad I'm thinking of getting the aluminum accelerator and brake pedal covers. Not the deal pedal, because I do believe the floor liners cover the dead pedal. Correct me if I am wrong! Is there anything else you think is a "Must-have" for the '17 CX-5?

Not a complaint, just a brief comment. It seems to me that "Hill Hold" isn't particularly useful on a car with automatic transmission. Whats more on my CX 5 it won't "hold" on a really steep incline. Very useful of course on a vehicle with standard transmission.
