  Afternoon all, Still in the process of getting my 73 dart custom with pepped up 360 back on the road. As I go through and replace parts in advance of trying to start her up, I realize that I have basically replaced every component of the ignition system except the distributor (original to the 318 it used to have) and the coil.   My A/C evaporator has a leak on my 1999 Dodge van 1500 with 318 v-8. I have already replaced the compressor, condenser and receiver-dryer. It was working perfect until there was a leak in the evaporator. I have the factory service manual and it says you have to take the whole A/C housing out. This is an almost impossible task. I bet it is at least $800 in labor to take it out. A new evaporator only costs $52. This is terrible engineering design by Chrysler. I have been working for 2 days... Read more

• Oil on air filter

  Okay I know pretty much nothing on engines so wondering if anyone else has had this issue or knows what a fix could be? I bought a 2012 Ram about a year ago and only have 31k miles. I usually go to valvoline for oil changes because it's convenient. The other day I brought it in and the tech pulled out my air filter and showed me about half of it was covered in oil.
