Terms of use

You must be at least 16 years old. One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under your account, so keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think someone else has it.

Photos, build notes, posts and comments you upload remain yours. By posting them you give us permission to store them and to show them to the people you chose to show them to, including on a public build page if you turn one on. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from copies in routine backups that age out.

Do not upload anything you do not have the right to share. That includes other people's photographs.

• Post someone else's car and claim it as your own. Car spotting posts exist for exactly this reason.
• Harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
• Advertise a vehicle you cannot sell, or misrepresent one you can.
• Scrape the site, hammer our APIs, or try to reach data that is not yours.
• Upload malware, or anything illegal where you live or where our servers are.

Discover, Directory, Find Cars and Market show material that comes from other publishers, forums, channels, marketplaces and public datasets. We link to the original and name the source. We do not control it, we do not warrant that it is accurate or current, and following a link takes you to that party's own site under their terms.

Where a source has not agreed to an integration with us, we link to it rather than reproducing it. Our catalog of vehicles is assembled from public datasets and community corrections; it is not complete and it is not a specification database you should rely on for safety-critical decisions.

Any asking price, auction bid, reported sale or valuation we show is labelled as such, carries its date and source, and is not an appraisal, an offer, or a guarantee of what a car will sell for. We do not process vehicle purchases, bids, financing, escrow or title transfers. Transactions happen with the seller or the auction house, not with us.

Always inspect a vehicle yourself, or pay someone qualified to, before buying it.

Fitment information, build notes and technical discussion on Auto Collective are community material and supplier data, not professional advice. What fits or is road legal varies by market, year and prior modifications. Check with the manufacturer, a qualified technician, and your local regulations before you rely on anything you read here.

We can hide or remove content and suspend accounts that break these terms or the community rules. When we do, we record the action and the reason, and you can appeal it from your account. You can close your account yourself at any time in Settings.

Auto Collective is provided as it is, while it is in early access. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that every feature will keep working the same way. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for decisions you make about buying, selling or modifying a vehicle, or for what third-party sites do.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before the change takes effect. The version and date at the top of this page always tell you which terms are current.

Support, copyright complaints and legal notices all reach us at the contact address published on the site. Copyright complaints should identify the work, the URL, and your authority to complain.
